HP has recently released the new Chromebase All-in-One 22. HP Chromebase All-in-One 22 is a desktop computer with an integrated touchscreen, designed for homes and other light computing tasks. It has up to Intel Core i3 processor, 2GB of memory, 16GB of storage on board (4 times more than previous models), and up to four times faster connectivity. Price and availability

The HP Chromebase all-in-one computer 22 is available now in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, and France. Pricing varies by country: the base model will cost £399 (€499) in the UK and $429 in the US. The extra features to expand the display will set you back an additional $80 (UK) or $150 (US). HP Chromebase All-in-One 22 from Hewlett Packard will offer many great features at a low price.

Design and features

  1. The design is not to everyone’s taste and it doesn’t have a lot of features.
  2. The unique selling point is that the CPU, storage, and RAM are upgradable for those who want more power or larger storage capacity.
  3. However, this has a downside in that upgrading also voids the warranty.
  4. There is no keyboard and mouse provided with the computer, so you will need to purchase these separately if you don’t already own them.
  5. They can be attached to the screen using magnets on each side of the screen.
  6. You can save files directly onto an SD card inserted into one of two slots on the back of the screen.
  7. The IPS display supports a native resolution of 1920×1080 and has great viewing angles from all sides.

HP Chromebase All-in-One 22 has been benchmarked at 25.8 degrees Celsius in performance mode, and 27.3 degrees Celsius in both low power mode and eco-mode. The operating system is Google Chrome OS, but there is an optional Windows 10 Mode available as well. It does not have a touchscreen like many other products on the market today.

One small issue I had with this product was that it does not come with a keyboard and mouse, so you would need to purchase those separately if you want to use them for input on the screen. Other than that, this product seems pretty decent for what it offers.

Webcam and mic

The camera on the 22 is a 720p webcam that does well for conference calls and shoots videos up to 1080p, with support for H.264 encoding. The mic is omnidirectional and records at 192kbps. Audio levels are good too – the other party in my conference call didn’t have any trouble hearing me. I also recorded some music using Audacity and was pleased with the sound quality.

HP Chromebase All-in-One 22

Should I buy the HP Chromebase All-in-One 22?

The answer to this question will vary from person to person depending on their preferences and needs. The HP Chromebase All-in-One 22, in my opinion, is not worth the cost for an average household looking for a new PC. There are some great qualities about this computer though. Some benefits include the lack of a fan and speakers that produce sound better than most monitors.

Buy it if

If you’re looking for a good budget option, HP Chromebase All-in-One 22 would be an excellent choice. It has a sleek design and is very energy efficient. It also comes with Chrome OS so there’s no need to purchase software separately. This PC will run most programs that are found on a desktop but it may struggle when multitasking due to its lack of power, which is common in inexpensive all-in-one computers.

Don’t buy it if

If you are looking for a computer with great performance and quick boot times, then the HP Chromebase All-in-One 22 is not for you. The speakers and sound quality are also terrible, especially if you want to use this as a monitor for a presentation. With it only coming in one size, be sure to measure your space before purchasing to ensure it will fit comfortably.

  • Comes with a keyboard, mouse, and Wi-Fi
  • The wireless range is decent.
  • Good Display.
  • Well Brightness
  • The speaker is loud enough for videos or music playback.

  • No ports on the back and limited connectivity options in general.
  • This means no VGA or DVI
  • It’s also large, heavy, and doesn’t have a stand.
